GC: S/R and R/S/R
Because
the GC can not operate with ndls selected, the “Hold”
position is NWP. To facilitate this operation requires a strand
of W/Y, 3 times the distance of the ndls in WP.

S/R
To
put the ndls into “Hold”, bring the required amount
into “E”. Beginning on the carriage side, Place the
strand of W/Y into the hooks of the first 2 ndls. Holding both tails,
pull the ndls back to NWP. Holding the ndl butts, adjust the yarn
so the shorter tail is next to the carriage. The W/Y travels from
the gate pegs, across the bed, into the hook, and back across the
bed for each ndl. With the GC, K 2 Rs. Repeat for each S/R.

S/R
To
put the ndls into “Hold”, bring 1 less of the required
amount into “E”. Beginning on the carriage side, place
the strand of W/Y into the hooks of the first 2 ndls. Holding both
tails, pull the ndls back to NWP. Holding the ndl butts, adjust
the yarn so the shorter tail is next to the carriage. The W/Y travels
from the gate pegs, across the bed, into the hook, and back
across the bed for each ndl. K 1 R. To wrap the ndl, with the strand
of W/Y, place the next ndl on the carriage side into NWP. With the
GC, K 1 R. This wrap looks peculiar. Repeat these 2 Rs for each
S/R.

R/S/R
This
is merely a process of “Ripping Out” the W/Y, bringing
the required ndls back into WP. With the GC, K 2 Rs.
